Operation Hometown Gratitude
This is a ministry where a Rochester Public School program supports our local troops who have been deployed. This program began a number of years ago through Mayo High School, with Gary Komeneki, teacher, taking the lead. Supplies and everyday home items are collected and shipped to the military troops, along with letters and thank-you cards. Items to keep in mind for this once-a-year drive are socks for men and women, recent magazines, gently used books for both men and women, cd’s, encouraging the youth to write letters individually, or as a class project. As time gets closer to shipping, baked cookies are requested. Do you know someone from Church of the Resurrection serving in the military? Please let the church know.
