First Reconciliation
Reconciliation is an experience of the gift of God’s boundless mercy. It is the healing sacrament of prayer, forgiveness and celebration. First Reconciliation at Church of the Resurrection begins when children are in 2nd grade and requires a combination of home and parish participation. At baptism, we learn that parents are the primary teachers of faith for their children. Parents continue in this role by participating in child/parent learning centers and imparting the faith to their children. As a parish, we will provide learning materials for home and Faith Formation classes on Mondays. Children must register for Sacrament Prep and Faith Formation classes. First Reconciliation takes place at our parish penance service during Advent.
